Reach Trucks.
By putting safety, efficiency, and comfort first, we’re raising the standard for forklift quality across every industry. Invest in the Reach Truck range and raise your standards today.
RTL,RTN
The RTL and RTN are universal reach trucks that can perform almost any material handling task, combining lifting power and reliable manufacturing with a narrow chassis that helps them to access even those hard-to-reach areas where other forklifts might struggle.
RTM, RTH, RTX
This new-generation of reach trucks offers specialist solutions for environments requiring sheer lifting power or extreme heights, with heavy-duty models capable of lifting loads up to 2,500 kg or reaching heights of 12.1 metres for high-stacking with stability and ease.
RTF
The RTF offers flexible handling of long and bulky goods or pallet loads. Supporting superior ergonomics, this multi-directional reach truck can be driven in all directions with precision, with a lifting height of up to 9.7 m and an aisle width that can be cut to 2.3 – 3 metres.
RTS
To navigate the narrow aisles so typical of modern warehouse environments, this reach truck has been specially developed with a slender chassis and the smallest transfer aisle in the industry to suit sites with tight corridors or congested areas where size really does matter.
Reliable and efficient technology.
The TCM reach truck series offers vehicles with high-quality components combined with industry-leading operator ergonomics and truck performance. The reach truck series extends the TCM family of high-value warehouse and counterbalance trucks, utilising both lead-acid and lithium-ion battery technology for enhanced safety, performance, and comfort.
The reach truck range provides customers with trucks that have an impressive load capacity of 1.2 to 2.5 tonnes, each with a wide variety of masts that can reach lifting heights up to 12.1 metres while keeping optimal load capacities. Additionally, options like drive-in racking and rail guidance allow you to tailor the truck to your specific application.
Reduce Risk.
Standardised safety features across our reach truck ranges leads to safer, more secure working environments with fewer accidents. For workplaces facing unconventional challenges or heightened risk, customise your forklifts with safety add-ons tailored to your specific needs.
Elevate Efficiency.
Innovative technology and ergonomic design means our reach trucks enable you to unlock new efficiencies and achieve industry-leading performance across your operations. All our forklifts comply with current emissions targets, helping you to hit your emissions targets, too.
Improve Comfort.
Key to forklift efficiency is a comfortable operator. As well as the health and safety benefits associated with ergonomics, the standard features across our reach trucks make it easier for your operators to work, aiding productivity and minimising your total cost of operation (TCO).
Through an inclined and narrow dashboard, the high-vision design maximises an operator's ability to see in front, down and beside them at all times. The driver can steer effortlessly as the truck is enhanced with a one-spoke steering wheel and a steering knob that returns to the ideal 8 o'clock position to enable effortless steering, control and precision.
Frequently Asked Questions.
A reach truck, also known as a reach forklift, is a specialised type of forklift designed specifically to navigate narrow aisles and reach heights that are beyond the capabilities of traditional forklifts. This powerful machine is commonly used in warehouses and distribution centres to efficiently stack and retrieve goods from high shelves.Whether it's moving heavy pallets or organising inventory, a reach truck is an indispensable tool for any warehouse operation.
The compact size of a reach truck makes it ideal for operating in confined spaces compared to traditional forklifts, which are typically bulkier. Its mast design is such that it can also reach greater heights, maximising the storage capacity of a warehouse.
While both these vehicles are used to retrieve items from high shelves, there are some key differences between them. The order picker is designed to allow the operator to elevate themselves along with the load, making it easier to pick and place items at various heights. On the other hand, the reach truck is built to extend its forks forward and reach deep into the racking system, allowing it to access objects that are further away. Another notable difference is the manoeuvrability of these vehicles. Order pickers are typically more compact and agile, making them ideal for narrow aisles and tight spaces. While reach trucks are narrower and more agile than standard forklifts, they have a longer wheelbase than order pickers, making them better suited for larger warehouses with wider aisles.
Reach trucks’ extended reach means warehouse operators can store and access pallets deep within the racking system, eliminating the need for manual handling or the use of ladders. This not only saves time but also reduces the risk of accidents and injuries. Reach trucks are generally equipped with advanced technology such as telescopic forks and height sensors, ensuring precise positioning and optimal load handling. Their compact size and manoeuvrability make them ideal for narrow aisles and tight spaces, increasing productivity and maximising storage capacity. Whether it's in a busy warehouse or a bustling distribution centre, reach trucks enhance efficiency and safety in material handling operations.
On top of the many benefits of using a reach truck described above, the TCM range has been developed with performance and ergonomics at its core. As a result, our reach trucks offer industry-leading operator comfort and safety, and reliability in the form of trucks that require little maintenance, putting greater productivity and efficiency within your reach.
